The Lamplighter Restaurant is evolving. Established in 1970 by Nick Castronova, the Lamplighter quickly became a favorite of local Rochester residents as well as out-of-town clientele. The Lamplighter is happy to announce Michael Seifert as our new, Executive Chef! Our previous Executive Chef, William (Elliott) Rodwell, has been with the Lamplighter for over 25 years and is now taking a part-time role in the kitchen alongside Michael. Michael started with the Lamplighter in February of 2019. He has over twelve years of culinary experience and was previously the Sous Chef at Branca in Bushnell’s Basin. Michael’s passion for cooking started at a young age while in the kitchen making homemade pasta with his father and grandmother. He believes in using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible and giving customers the “this is the best I’ve ever had!” experience.

The wines at the Lamplighter Restaurant have been selected by our experienced staff to provide you with a variety of white wines, red wines, and sparkling wines. Our staff can assist you in pairing a bottle of wine with your meal, to enhance the flavor of each bite.
The Lamplighter has been in business for over 45 years, offering a full assortment of banquet menus, from buffets, sit down menu, Italian theme based and hor douvres.
